We began todays session by learning about virtual studios and how they can be produced using a variety of programs including Adobe Fireworks and Carrara 4 Pro.
The main section of the video below is just a recording of Heather behind a desk.
The background of this video was produced using Adobe Fireworks and was then exported as a JPG so that it could be used in Adobe Premiere.
The foreground was also created in Adobe Fireworks however unlike the background it had to be exported as a PNG (32) so that it could be used on Premiere.
The reason it had to be exported as a PNG so that the area behind the desk (canvas) could be made transparent.
The video was then created using a similar process as the earlier video on this blog by using the chroma key settings under the keying effects under video effects in Premiere.
These elements were placed into an order on Fireworks so that the video looked like a news room this was done by placing the video on the layer two, the foreground on layer three and the background on the layer one.
The result of the compilition of these elements was acceptable however it could have been better if the quality of the video had been better but due to using windows media player the quality is relatively poor.
The only difficulties that i had in the production of this news experiment was adjusting the elements so that they were aligned with the original video footage.
However the poor quality of the video allowed it to upload quickly to the blog.
